I am so excited to finally highlight this gorgeous sunset newborn session. Not only is the family amazing, but they opted for a unique outdoor newborn session! Most newborn photographers hold all of their sessions in the studio to get those adorable newborn themes and poses, but I know there are quite a few families who would enjoy an outdoor family session with their sweet new additions – just like the Vidrine family.
When Theresa contacted me asking if we could go out on a limb and try their session in the cool fall air, I thought it would be a great idea! Babies love being outdoors (when the weather is right), and their little faces come alive as they take in the sights and sounds of birds chirping, leaves rustling, and sun shining. Most newborn sessions feature sleeping babies, but this is a great way to get some rarer wide-eyed shots of your baby.
For this session, we headed out to a quiet, wooded park. We went into the session knowing that their little girl might get tired fast, but she did great! The weather was perfect, and she was happy as could be. They even brought along their best four-legged friend.
I loved the outfits they picked out. For simple, classic photos, they chose a good mix of light and dark neutrals. Baby girl wore the sweetest denim dress and floral headband. My heart melted when she gave a big, sleepy yawn. What a precious princess she is! As they sat down to watch the setting sun together, she fell right to sleep in her dad’s warm arms – I think we might have a little daddy’s girl on her hands!
To end the session, we invited Thera’s mother to join in on a few family pictures. These priceless photos show three generations of amazing women: mother, daughter, and granddaughter.
Fall is right around the corner. If you’re due during the cooler months, this is the best time to do an outdoor newborn session in Texas! Get in touch for more information.
