When To Schedule Your Conroe Maternity Session
Motherhood is such an amazing journey. Whether you’re a birth mom, an adoptive mom, a step-mom, a foster mom, a bereaved mom, hopeful mom, or future mom… our roles are so very important. Maybe you are a role model to someone else’s kids. An aunt, a cousin, or a friend whom has little eyes watching everything you do. YOU are so very important too! One thing is for sure, if you’re blessed to carry life inside you, I urge you to document that time. It is precious, it is fleeting, and one day you’ll miss those little flutters in your belly. So this post is dedicated to all those mamas that are carrying a sweet baby inside your beautiful tummy. And just highlights when to schedule your Conroe Maternity session.
I often get asked when in your pregnancy you should schedule maternity pictures. A good rule of thumb is between 28-32 weeks. By then you’re (hopefully) past the dreaded morning sickness and exhaustion, but not quite to that home stretch where you just want to waddle around Target, grab some chocolate and a magazine, and get home to elevate your feet. If you’re like me, and show early on, you may be able to schedule sooner.
And I know during regular times when you are not pregnant, wardrobe and pictures are a big deal. So when you are pregnant and your body is changing, it’s an even bigger deal! My friends over at The Bump wrote a great article on affordable and stylish places to dress that beautiful bump. Here it is: AWESOME MATERNITY SHOPPING LINK
If you have a tiny little bump and don’t pop until the end, we can do later. It’s really up to you and what you’re comfortable with. I want moms to feel their best, and feel beautiful when they come for a maternity shoot. Sometimes it’s hard to feel beautiful when nothing in your closet fits and you’re getting kicked in the ribs by your precious offspring, but I urge you to take the pictures anyway! You won’t regret having them later, but you may regret if you don’t get them done. This time in your life is only a season, and it’s so nice to have memories to show your children and reminisce about the time those little kicks were contained in your belly. The time it was just the two of you. The sacred time reserved for us, as mothers.
