I have watched this beauty grow up. I vividly remember Lauren as a bouncing, bubbly ten-year-old like it was yesterday, and a couple months ago she walked the stage for her high school graduation. How time flies… The Stash’s are long-time family friends of mine, and they have always been so supportive of my business. It has been such a pleasure to photograph all of their family’s milestones and yearly family portraits. I can’t believe this was the last of Lauren’s childhood photos as she embarks on the next exciting journey of her life – although I hope to still see her back for more family photos when she’s home.
Lauren’s outdoor senior session was so much fun. At the beginning, the sun was shining on the bright green field, so we did her bright floral dress for those. We both loved the pops of color that really highlighted her joyful personality. She also brought along a couple gorgeous rose-colored dresses that made for some more whimsical photos among the trees. The sky started getting a little more overcast, and I actually loved the contrast with the soft pink of her dresses and the gray clouds. So elegant!
But my favorite part of this session was chatting with Lauren and her mom. Lauren is such a talented, strong young woman, and it was fun hearing about her dreams and goals after graduation. She is no longer the little girl from when we first met but a friend I can get coffee and catch up with (although I will always still see glimpses of the little sweetie in her smile and personality – those haven’t changed a bit!)
I can’t wait to see where life takes Lauren. Just as her family has been for me, I will be there cheering her along in her future endeavors!
